I’m going to show you why and how to make your homemade DIY lip balm. A very quick to make balm, customisable to your wishes, requiring a very limited number of ingredients. 100% natural, organic and vegan! In short, you will see, there are only good reasons to opt for homemade DIY lip balms!

Commercial lip balms are very expensive in terms of their composition. In other words, for a lot of money, you get a product composed of multiple toxic ingredients. Most of them potentially irritating, allergenic and occlusive, containing animal products.

What if I told you that in exchange we can have an economical, efficient & natural product?

Rather than giving you a simple lip balm recipe, I prefer to give you the ‘formula’ for making superb, 100% vegan DIY lip balms. Once the proportions are understood, all you have to do is create your own personalised ones! As an example, I will offer you 5 recipes to choose from. You’ll see, it’s child’s play!

For a homemade lip balm, you need:

  • vegetable butter (You can also use only oil, but the hydrating and nourishing power will be less important.)
  • vegetable oil
  • vegetable wax (candelilla, carnauba, rice, etc.)
  • a preservative (wheat germ oil, vitamin E, etc.)
  • the secret boot (opt.): essential oils and / or natural dyes.

As you can see, we only need 4 basic ingredients. This changes from the many toxic ingredients of other commercial brands! Depending on the oils used, your lip balm will not have the same properties. We can opt for a special balm “very cold” or rather for a light balm that will give a nice colour to your lips.
